Structure:

Belladonna tincture (1:10) - 5 ml, lily of the valley tincture (1:10) - 10 ml, valerian tincture (1: 5) - 10 ml, racemic menthol - 0.2 g.

General characteristics.

Basic physical and chemical properties: a transparent liquid of greenish or yellow-brown color with a characteristic odor.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics

The components of tinctures reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, have an antispasmodic effect, a slight cardiotonic effect, and increase the heart rate. Valeryanoic acid has a calming effect on the central nervous system. Belladonna tincture blocks the M-cholinergic receptors of smooth muscles of internal organs and causes an antispasmodic effect. Menthol, irritating the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, reflexively causes the expansion of the coronary vessels.

Vegetative neurosis, bradycardia.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe cardiac abnormalities, glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy. pregnancy and lactation. children under 12 years old.

Features of the application.

For elderly patients and children over 12 years old, Zelenin drops are prescribed with caution due to the content of atropine alkaloids. To increase therapeutic activity, they are used together with hawthorn preparations.

Influence on the ability to drive a car or work with complex mechanisms.

During the treatment period, one should refrain from driving vehicles and performing work that requires increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Interaction with other drugs.

Zelenin drops reduce the effect of antiarrhythmic drugs that are prescribed for tachycardia and enhance the effect of drugs that are recommended for bradyarrhythmias, as well as antispasmodics.

Dosage and administration.

Internally, adults - 20-25 drops 2-3 times a day, diluting with a small amount of water. children over 12 years of age are prescribed at the rate of 1 drop for 1 year of life. the duration of treatment depends on the achieved therapeutic effect and tolerance to the drug.

Overdose.

Violation of accommodation, dizziness, dry mouth, tachycardia, dilated pupils. treatment. symptomatic.
