Indications
Treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oropharynx: tonsillitis (including Vincent-Plaut), chronic tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, including with the phenomena of regional lymphadenopathy and lymphadenitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to active substances or to the excipient of the drug.
Dosage and administration
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 drops in pure form or diluted in
1 tablespoon of water;
children 5-12 years old: 5-7 drops, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water;
children 1 to 4 years: 1-4 drops of the drug, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water.
Take the drug 3 times a day.
At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases requiring a rapid weakening of symptoms, it is possible to take the drug every half hour to an hour up to 8 times a day until the condition improves, but not more than 3 days, after which it is applied 3 times a day.
To achieve maximum effect, it is recommended to take Vokar ® in between meals (30 minutes before or 1:00 after eating). To enhance effectiveness, it is recommended that you hold for some time in your mouth before swallowing.
The course of treatment for acute diseases continues until complete recovery. In the treatment of exacerbations of chronic diseases, the recommended course of treatment is 6 weeks.
In the treatment of chronic tonsillitis, an anti-relapse course of treatment is necessary - 6 weeks 2 times a year in order to prevent exacerbation of the disease.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Application features
Vokar ® oral drops should not be used in patients with alcohol dependence, since 80/160 mg of alcohol is contained in one dose (5/10 drops).
The alcohol content should also be considered when used by pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, children and patients with a high risk of liver disease or epilepsy attacks.
Vokar ® oral drops contain traces of lactose monohydrate (less than 10 mg per maximum daily dose). This amount does not pose a risk to patients with lactose intolerance. Patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should not take this drug.
At the beginning of treatment, the existing symptoms of the disease may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). Such a reaction is usually not harmful. If symptoms persist, discontinue use of the drug. After the disappearance of the primary reaction, the drug can be used again. With a repeated exacerbation of the symptoms of the drug should be discontinued.
