Turpentine ointment

The drug "Turpentine ointment" is used in the complex treatment of neuralgia, myositis, arthritis.

Structure

The active substance is turpentine gum (1 g of ointment contains gum turpentine 200 mg).

Excipients: white soft paraffin, T-2 emulsifier, purified water.

Contraindications

• severe kidney and liver diseases;
• skin diseases of various nature;
• hypersensitivity to the drug.

Mode of application

The drug is used by adults externally to rub the painful areas 2-3 times a day. The duration of use is determined by the course of the disease and the effect achieved.

The user should consult a doctor if the symptoms of the disease did not disappear during the use of the drug or if adverse reactions not listed in the instructions for medical use of the drug are observed.

Pregnant women

It is not known whether the drug passes into breast milk and passes through the placental barrier during pregnancy, so the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.

Children

There is no experience with the use of the drug in children, so the ointment is not recommended for use in children.
