Pharmacological properties

phlebotone is a capillarotonic and venotonic agent. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, suppresses hyaluronidase. prevents the oxidation of hyaluronic, ascorbic acid and adrenaline, suppresses lipid peroxidation. troxerutin reduces the permeability and fragility of capillaries and prevents damage to the basement membrane of endothelial cells and, in addition, has membrane stabilizing, antihemorrhagic, detoxic, anti-allergic, venotonic properties. reduces edema, improves trophism and reduces the severity of other symptoms associated with venous insufficiency or impaired outflow of lymphatic fluid.

Pharmacokinetics The dosage form of the drug Phleboton (gel) provides complete absorption of the active substance through the stratum corneum of the epidermis and penetration into the blood vessels in the subcutaneous tissue. Its pH corresponds to the pH value of the skin; as a result, it does not have a local irritating and sensitizing effect. Since the gel has a water base, it does not violate the physiological properties of the skin.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment:

• pre-varicose and varicose syndrome;
• superficial thrombophlebitis, phlebitis and postphlebitis states;
• chronic venous insufficiency;
• swelling and pain with injuries and varicose veins.

Application

Apply topically, apply to skin.

Apply the gel in the morning and evening, gently rubbing into the affected areas of the skin with light massaging movements. If necessary, the gel can be used both under a bandage and under tightening stockings.

The dose and duration of treatment are determined by the doctor individually, taking into account the severity and course of the disease.

In severe cases, combination therapy with troxerutin in the form of capsules is recommended.

Children. There are no contraindications for the use of the drug in children.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to troxerutin or any of the excipients.

The gel should not be applied to mucous membranes, open wounds and eczematous areas of the skin.

Side effects

In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions may be observed, including skin irritation, redness, itching, skin rashes, dermatitis, angioedema. usually the symptoms disappear after discontinuation of the drug.

special instructions

Prolonged use may cause hypersensitivity! benzalkonium chloride can cause the development of skin reactions. patients with severe renal impairment are not recommended to use the drug for a long time. if the severity of the symptoms of the disease does not decrease when using the drug, you should consult a doctor.

Use during pregnancy or lactation. There are no clinical data on the use of the drug in pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding. Therefore, the use is permissible only as prescribed by the doctor, who will determine the ratio of benefits for women / risks for the fetus (child).

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms. Does not affect.

Interactions

Enhances the capillary protective effect of ascorbic acid.

Overdose

There is no data on overdose with topical administration of the drug. if you accidentally take a large amount of the drug inside, you must apply general measures to remove the drug and, if necessary, carry out symptomatic treatment.
