Tooth drops

The medicine "Dental drops" is used for the symptomatic treatment of toothache of various etiologies.

Structure

1 ml of the drug contains (active substances):

• peppermint oil (in terms of 50% menthol) - 31 mg;
• racemic camphor - 64 mg;
• tinctures of valerian roots (Valerianae radix) (1: 5) (extractant - ethanol 70%) - up to one ml.

1 ml of the drug contains 46 drops.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, epilepsy, a tendency to convulsive seizures, bronchial asthma;
• avoid contact with damaged mucous membranes.

Mode of application

To soothe a toothache, a cotton swab moistened with 2-3 drops of the drug is applied to the diseased tooth.

Do not swallow drops.

Application features

Pregnant women

Since the composition of the drug includes ethyl alcohol, drops are not recommended for women during pregnancy and lactation.

Children

Drops are not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Drivers

Since ethanol is part of the drug, when using it, one should refrain from driving vehicles and potentially hazardous activities due to possible adverse reactions (dizziness, drowsiness).

Overdose

Perhaps the development of hypersensitivity to the drug, increased side effects.

In case of accidental ingestion, possible: severe manifestations of the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rectal ulcers, symptoms of central nervous system depression, dizziness, ataxia, cramps, loss of consciousness, hot flashes, drowsiness, difficulty breathing, headache, agitation, impaired heart function, lowering blood pressure.

The treatment is symptomatic.

Side effects

On the part of the immune system: sometimes allergic reactions can occur, including a rash on the skin, urticaria, itching, erythema, anaphylactic shock.

From the central nervous system: headache, dizziness, drowsiness, ataxia, tremor, cramps, agitation.

From the cardiovascular system: bradycardia.

From the respiratory system: bronchospasm.

Reaction at the injection site: irritation of the mucous membrane, burning sensation.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life is 2 years.
