Tonsilotren

Tonsilotren is a complex homeopathic medicine that stimulates the bodys own defenses in case of viral and bacterial infections of the pharynx and tonsils at various stages of inflammation.

Indications

Acute tonsil inflammation, catarrhal and lacunar tonsillitis, chronic and chronic-relapsing tonsillar tonsillitis, tonsil enlargement (hyperplasia), and symptomatic treatment after surgical removal of the tonsils in children and adults.

Structure

Tablets, 20 pcs. in a blister, 3 blisters per pack (60 tablets per pack):

• Atropinum sulfuricum D5 - 12.5 mg
• Hepar sulfuris D3 - 10 mg
• Kalium bichromicum D4 - 50 mg
• Silicea D2 - 5 mg
• Mercurius bijodatus D8 - 25 mg

Other ingredients: lactose, sucrose, magnesium stearate.

Mode of application

In the acute period of the disease:

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 

• in the acute period of the disease: 1 tablet every hour for 1-2 days before the onset of clinical improvement (no more than 12 times a day);
• with subsequent treatment or chronic conditions: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day until complete recovery. If after completion of 7 days of treatment with the drug there is no final recovery or new symptoms of the disease appear, the patient should definitely consult a doctor.

Children from 6 to 12 years old: 

• in the acute period of the disease: the first 1-2 days, 1 tablet every 2 hours until the condition improves (but no more than 6 times a day);
• with subsequent treatment or chronic conditions: 1 tablet 3 times a day until complete recovery. If after completion of 8 days of treatment with the drug, there is no final recovery or new symptoms of the disease appear, the patient should definitely consult a doctor.

Children from 2 to 6 years old: 

• in the acute period of the disease or with subsequent treatment: 1 tablet 3 times a day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to chrome; for diseases of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism), take the drug only after consulting a doctor.

Side effects

After use, salivation may be increased, while the dose should be reduced or the drug should be stopped; if allergic skin reactions occur, such as redness of the skin, rashes, the use of the drug should be abandoned.

In isolated cases, the occurrence of pain in the epigastrium and vomiting is possible.

If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the drug and consult a doctor.

Precautionary measures

The drug contains sucrose and lactose, which should be considered in patients with diabetes mellitus and lactose intolerance.

When conducting treatment with homeopathic medicines, there may be a temporary deterioration at the beginning of treatment. In this case, it is necessary to stop treatment with the drug and consult a doctor.

Like all medications, Tonsilotren during pregnancy and lactation should be used after consulting a doctor.
