Pharmacological properties

Tonginal increases the tone of the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system (VNS) in patients with vagotonia and restores the disturbed balance of activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the VNS. at the same time it has a vasoactive effect: it improves blood supply and blood circulation of the brain by restoring the tone of the cerebral vessels and normalizing the venous outflow. normalizes reduced hell. improves cardiac activity and metabolic processes in the myocardium. reduces the excitability of the vestibular apparatus. reduces the frequency and intensity of seizures, autonomic crises, especially vaginal character. increases resistance to psychoemotional and physical stress. improves the adaptive capabilities of patients with vestibular or autonomic disorders, arterial hypotension.

Indications

In the complex treatment of vegetative-vascular dystonia by hypotensive type, diencephalic syndrome, lesser syndrome. complex treatment of conditions accompanied by autonomic disorders.

Application

Adults and children over the age of 12 years: 10 drops of the drug in its pure form or diluted in 1 tablespoon of water;

children aged 6-12 years: 5-7 drops of the drug, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water.

Take 3 times a day 30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal.

At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases requiring a rapid decrease in the severity of symptoms, it is possible to take the drug every 0.5-1 hours for adults and children over 12 years of age: 8-10 drops, for children aged 6-12: 3 –5 drops, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water, until the condition improves, but no more than 8 times, after which take the drug 3 times a day.

To enhance effectiveness, it is recommended that you hold the mouth for a while before swallowing.

The course of treatment is 2-3 months. If necessary, the course can be repeated.

Children. The use of the drug Tonginal oral drops in children under the age of 6 years is not recommended due to insufficient data.

Due to the content of camphor, the drug is contraindicated in children under the age of 2 years.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. ba or other diseases of the respiratory system associated with hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract, children under 2 years of age due to camphor content.

Side effects

In exceptional cases, people with hypersensitivity to any component of the drug may experience allergic reactions. the drug can cause laryngospasm in infants and children under the age of 2 years.

special instructions

At the beginning of treatment, a slight increase in the severity of the symptoms of the disease is possible (initial reaction). such a reaction is not harmful and does not require discontinuation of the drug. if symptoms persist, discontinue use of the drug. after the disappearance of the primary reaction, the drug can be used again. with a repeated exacerbation of symptoms, the use of the drug should be discontinued. if symptoms persist for more than 7 days, despite treatment or if you feel unwell, it is recommended to consult a doctor immediately.

Since Tonginal contains plant and other natural components, during storage, there may be a slight change in the taste, transparency or color of the solution, which does not lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of the drug.

The drug Tonginal oral drops should not be used in patients with alcohol dependence, since 80/160 mg of alcohol is contained in one dose (5/10 drops).

The alcohol content should also be taken into account when used during pregnancy, breastfeeding, in children and patients with a high risk of liver disease and the risk of epilepsy attacks.

Long-term treatment with homeopathic medicines should be monitored by a homeopath, as symptoms may occur that are not indicated in the instructions for medical use.

Use during pregnancy or lactation. Data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation are not available. Information about any risk to the fetus and child from the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is still not registered. Interactions

When using Tonginal in combination therapy with other drugs, it is necessary to observe a pause between medications for at least 20 minutes.
