Structure:

Active ingredient: tincture from a peony of unusual grass, rhizomes with roots (1:10);

excipient: ethanol 40%.

Dosage form.

Tincture.

A clear, light brown liquid with a specific odor. When preserved, precipitation is allowed.

Peony tincture increases the bodys resistance to hypoxia, has antispasmodic, anticonvulsant, antimicrobial properties and the ability to increase the acidity of the stomach.

Indications.

Neurosis, neurocirculatory dystonia for the hypertonic type.

Appropriate safety precautions for use. With prolonged use of large doses of the drug, it is necessary to control the acidity of the stomach in patients with a tendency to increase it.

Contraindications

Arterial hypotension, individual intolerance to biologically active substances that are found in medicinal plant materials, pregnancy and lactation, childrens age.

Interaction with other therapeutic agents and other types of interactions.

The drug can potentiate the effect of sedatives, hypnotics, tranquilizers, antipsychotics and antidepressants with sedative effects.

Use during pregnancy or lactation.

The drug is not used during pregnancy or lactation through the ethanol content.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving motor vehicles or other mechanisms.

During the treatment period, it is necessary to refrain from driving a car and carrying out work that requires increased attention, quick mental reactions.

Dosage and administration.

Peony tincture is taken internally 10-15 minutes before a meal. adults are prescribed 15–20 drops 3 times a day. the duration of the course of treatment is determined individually for each patient, taking into account the nature, degree and characteristics of the course of the disease, the stability of the achieved therapeutic effect and tolerability of the drug. the recommended duration of treatment is 2 weeks, if necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after a break (after 2-3 months).

Overdose. With an increase in recommended doses, a decrease in blood pressure, dizziness, drowsiness are observed. In case of an overdose, you should stop taking the drug and apply measures of symptomatic and supportive therapy (in accordance with the clinical condition of the patient).

Children.

There is no experience with the use of the drug in children, therefore it is not recommended to prescribe it to this category of patients.

Side effects.

Arterial hypotension, drowsiness, general weakness, as well as the development of allergic reactions (rash, itching, hyperemia, and swelling of the skin).
