Muscomed contains the active substance thiocolchicoside, a semi-synthetic muscle relaxant, which is obtained from the natural glycoside of colchicoside. exhibits selective affinity for gamma and glycine receptors, which determines the effect of the drug at various levels of the nervous system, both with local spasms and with spasms of central origin.

Indications

Application

Take orally after a meal. the maximum daily dose is 8–16 mg in 2 divided doses. the recommended course of treatment is 5-7 days.

In preparation for physiotherapeutic procedures, the period of muscle relaxation is 1-2 hours after oral administration of the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, muscle hypotension, mild paralysis.
