A complex extract for sedavit is obtained from rhizomes with valerian roots, hawthorn fruit, St. Johns wort, peppermint leaves, hop cones. the pharmacological effect of the drug is due to the properties of the components that make up its composition. biologically active substances of extracts of medicinal plants positively affect the functioning of the nervous and cardiovascular systems and have a predominantly sedative, anxiolytic effect, eliminate a sense of fear, mental stress. vitamins are components of enzyme systems involved in the redox processes of the body. pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin b6) - normalizes the functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system; nicotinamide (vitamin pp) - is involved in the processes of tissue respiration, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.

The pharmacological effectiveness of the drug depends on the combined action of its components, so kinetic studies are not possible, since all components together cannot be determined using markers or biological studies.

Indications

Syndrome "manager" (a state of constant mental stress); neurasthenia and neurasthenic reactions, accompanied by irritability, anxiety, fear, fatigue, distraction, impaired memory, mental exhaustion; hypertensive and cardiac neurocirculatory dystonia; asthenic syndrome (hypersthenic form); ag i stage; insomnia (mild forms); itchy dermatoses (eczema, urticaria); headache due to nervous tension; migraine; as a symptomatic agent for menopause and mild forms of dysmenorrhea; as well as to eliminate the symptoms that occur with diseases of the thyroid gland and diabetes mellitus (except for decompensated diabetes mellitus).

Application

Sedavit tablets. adults and children aged 12 years and older, the drug is prescribed 2 tablets 3 times a day. tablets are swallowed without chewing, washed down with a small amount of liquid. in case of nausea, the drug should be taken with food. if necessary, a single dose is increased to 3 tablets. in case of adverse reactions from the nervous system (drowsiness, dizziness), 1 tablet is prescribed 3 times a day. the interval between doses is 8 hours. The drug can be used once for 2-3 tablets 30-60 minutes before the expected psychoemotional load.

The course of treatment depends on the form and severity of the disease, the nature of concomitant therapy, the achieved treatment effect and is determined by the doctor.

Sedavit rr for oral administration. For adults and children over the age of 12 years, the drug is prescribed orally 3 times a day, 5 ml each. If necessary, a single dose is increased to 10 ml. In case of adverse reactions from the nervous system (drowsiness, lethargy), 2.5 ml are prescribed in the morning and in the afternoon and 5 ml - at night. The interval between doses is 8 hours. The drug can be used once in a dose of 5-10 ml for 20-30 minutes before a possible emotional stress. The drug is taken undiluted or together with drinks (tea, juice). In case of nausea, the drug is used with meals.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, depression and conditions accompanied by inhibition of the central nervous system, BA, spasmophilia, severe arterial hypotension, bradycardia, myasthenia gravis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, coronary heart disease, liver disease, hyperuricemia, gout, decompensated diabetes mellitus, diabetes .

Side effects

In isolated cases, the following undesirable effects may occur.

Allergic reactions, including hyperemia, rash, itching, swelling, urticaria, anaphylactic reactions, including anaphylactic shock.

From the central and peripheral nervous system: drowsiness, fatigue, dizziness, depressed emotional state, agitation, headache, paresthesia, weakness, decreased performance.

From the digestive tract: nausea, pain and cramping in the abdomen, vomiting, heartburn, increased gastric secretion, impaired bowel function (diarrhea, constipation).

From the cardiovascular system: bradycardia, decreased blood pressure, tachycardia, arrhythmia.

On the part of the skin: photosensitivity in sensitive individuals, dermatitis, dry skin.

From the musculoskeletal system: numbness of the limbs, muscle weakness.

From the side of metabolism: with prolonged use in high doses - a decrease in glucose tolerance.

Deviations of biochemical parameters from normal: increased levels of AcAT, LDH, alkaline phosphatase, blood glucose, hyperuricemia.

The composition of the drug includes lactose (tablets) and sorbitol (rr). patients with rare hereditary disorders of carbohydrate metabolism, in particular galactose intolerance, fructose, paw lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, should not take this drug.

When using the drug, patients, especially with fair skin, should avoid prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation (sunbathing, tanning beds, diathermy).

In patients with gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn), an increase in the severity of heartburn is possible.

With caution, the drug should be used in patients with differences in blood pressure and diabetes. It is necessary to control blood pressure and blood glucose.

Do not take with alcohol.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. It is not recommended to prescribe the drug during pregnancy and lactation.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. When using the drug, one should refrain from driving vehicles and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Children. The safety and effectiveness of the drug for children under 12 years of age have not been established, therefore, the drug should not be used in children under the age of 12 years.

Interactions

The drug enhances the effect of substances that have a sedative effect on the central nervous system, as well as alcohol. a mutual decrease in the severity of the action of levodopa and pyridoxine hydrochloride is possible.

The simultaneous administration of cycloserine, hydralazine, isoniazid, penicillamine and oral contraceptives causes an increased need for pyridoxine.

Perforated St. Johns wort can induce the induction of 3A4, 1A2 and 2C9 isoenzymes of cytochrome P450, which can lead to a decrease in the severity of the action of other drugs taken at the same time that are metabolized by these isoenzymes. In this regard, the simultaneous use of the drug with:

• indinavir or other antiretroviral drugs;
• cyclosporine, digoxin, theophylline, irinotecan, tacrolimus, lipid-lowering agents (simvastatin, etc.), fexofenadine, tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline, nortriptyline), antiepileptic drugs (carbamazepine, phenobaronitaminotin phytobrinotramonitrobenotraminitramate, phytobrinotraminitramonitrate, cytobenotamino-nitraminitorbate, sertraline, paroxetine), buspirone, as well as triptans (sumatriptan, naratriptan, zolmitriptan) and antihypertensive drugs - calcium channel blockers;
• warfarin and other anticoagulants - coumarin derivatives;
• oral contraceptives (due to a decrease in the effectiveness of contraceptives with the occurrence of irregular bleeding, the occurrence of an unwanted pregnancy is not ruled out).

It is not recommended to use the drug with cardiac glycosides.

Diuretics - when combined with pyridoxine, the effect of diuretics is enhanced.

Sleeping pills and sedatives - when combined with pyridoxine, sleeping pills are reduced.

Antiparkinsonian drugs - when combined with pyridoxine, the effectiveness of drugs for the treatment of Parkinsons disease decreases.

Corticosteroids - when combined with pyridoxine, the amount of vitamin B decreases₆ in organism.

With the simultaneous use of nicotinic acid with antithrombotic agents or acetylsalicylic acid, there is a risk of bleeding.

The use of antihypertensive drugs leads to increased arterial hypotension, with antidiabetic agents to a decrease in the severity of the hypoglycemic effect of the latter. Application with other lipid-lowering drugs increases the risk of developing toxic effects of the drug, with antispasmodics - the effect of antispasmodics is enhanced.

The simultaneous use with methyldopa leads to a significant decrease in blood pressure, with probenecid - a decrease in the effect of probenecid.

It is possible to enhance the photosensitizing effect of other drugs with a photosensitizing effect (for example, sulfonamides, tetracycline antibiotics and fluoroquinolones).

Overdose

Symptoms: increased severity of side effects. later, these symptoms may be accompanied by a feeling of numbness, joint pain and a feeling of heaviness in the stomach. Symptoms of nicotinamide overdose may also occur: dizziness, convulsions, tremors, sweating, coughing, skin rash, arterial hypotension. symptoms characteristic of peripheral neuropathy.

Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy, which is prescribed by the doctor.
