The effect of the drug is due to the properties of its components. biologically active substances of valerian and motherwort extracts (essential oils, saponins, alkaloids, tannins) favorably affect the functional activity of the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system, exhibiting a predominantly sedative, anxiolytic and antispasmodic effect; regulate cardiac activity, reduce hell and heart rate; suppress fear, mental stress, improve falling asleep and sleep structure. the pharmacological properties of hawthorn extract are due to the presence of flavonoids, choline, acetylcholine, phytosterols, triterpene acids. Hawthorn extract is able to enhance blood circulation in the coronary and brain vessels, increase myocardial contractility (mild positive inotropic effect) and reduce its excitability (negative batmotropic effect). biologically active substances of hawthorn extract increase myocardial tolerance to hypoxia, reduce peripheral vascular resistance and increase cardiac endurance in relation to physical exertion, have antiarrhythmic, hypotensive, hypocholesterolemic effects (reduce the level of cholesterol and blood pressure).

The drug has the ability to enhance the effect of other sedatives and hypnotics.

Indications

Mild forms of neurotic disorders, accompanied by irritability, anxiety, a sense of fear, depression, fatigue, distraction, increased nervous excitability; mild forms of sleep disturbance associated with agitation; headache attacks, migraine caused by nervous tension, mild forms of dysmenorrhea, menopause; neurocirculatory dystonia with tachycardia, cardialgia and ag; ag i stage; as part of complex therapy and prevention of chronic coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis, ag, supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, the initial stages of chronic heart failure; dermatosis accompanied by itching (urticaria, atopic dermatitis, eczema); constant mental stress (managers syndrome).

Application

A single dose for adults and children over the age of 12 years is 1 capsule 2-3 times a day. in mild forms of insomnia - 1 capsule 1 hour before bedtime. the maximum daily dose of the drug is 3 capsules.

The course of treatment depends on the form and severity of the disease, the nature of concomitant therapy, the achieved treatment effect and is determined individually.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe arterial hypotension, severe bradycardia, depression and other diseases accompanied by inhibition of central nervous system activity.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: in patients with individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic reactions may develop, including symptoms such as rash, itching, urticaria;

from the nervous system: dizziness, drowsiness;

from the cardiovascular system: possible tachycardia or bradycardia, decreased blood pressure;

from the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting, cramping.

Interactions

The drug enhances the activity of cardiac glycosides (digoxin), as well as the action of antispasmodics, sleeping pills and sedatives. do not use the drug with antiarrhythmic drugs of the third generation.

The drug can potentiate the pharmacological effects of analgesic, antihypertensive drugs, and also enhances the effect of alcohol.

Overdose
