Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics Flavone-containing polyphenolic drug from inflorescences of sandy cumin (Helichrysum; Helichrysum arenarium L.). It contains flavonoid glycosides (salipurposide, isosalipurposide, kempferol, apigenin), bitterness, tannins, sterols, essential oils and other biologically active substances (organic acids, carotenoids, polysaccharides, etc.).
It increases the secretion of bile, the osmotic gradient between bile and blood, which enhances the osmotic filtration into the bile capillaries of water and electrolytes, increases the flow of bile through the bile ducts, the content of cholates in the bile, reduces the possibility of precipitation of bile cholesterol (preventing the formation of gallstones). It has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of the sphincters of the gallbladder and biliary tract, changes the viscosity and chemical composition of bile. By stimulating the secretion of gastric juice and slowing down the evacuation function of the stomach and intestines, it contributes to better digestion of food. Contributing to the release of cholesterol with bile, has a hypocholesterolemic effect; possesses antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria, increases the activity of metronidazole and aminoquinol in the treatment of giardiasis.
