Salicylic Acid, Zinc Oxide

The drug “Salicylic-zinc paste” is used for skin diseases: dermatitis, diaper rash, pyoderma, rosacea, acne, eczema, ulcers with a predominance of exudation.

Structure

1 g of paste contains (active ingredients):

• salicylic acid - 0.02 g;
• zinc oxide - 0.25 g.

Excipients: potato starch, white soft paraffin.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
• acute purulent diseases of the skin and adjacent tissues.

Mode of application

Applied to adults externally. The paste is applied in the form of applications on the affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined depending on the nature of the disease and ranges from about 6 to 20 days.

Pregnant women

Pregnant women and women during lactation, the use of the drug is not recommended.

Children

The drug is not used to treat children.

Drivers

The drug does not affect the reaction rate when driving or working with other mechanisms.

Overdose

When applied to significant areas of the skin for a long time, an allergic reaction may intensify. In this case, the patient should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible, including itching, rash, burning, dryness, peeling of the skin, urticaria, and flushing. Allergic reactions to the components of the paste.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life is 4 years.
