When used locally, salicylic acid has a weak antiseptic, as well as irritating and distracting effect. Suppresses the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands. It has a keratoplastic effect in low concentrations, and a keratolytic effect in high concentrations.

Salicylic ointment is applied externally, is practically not absorbed into the systemic circulation and does not have a resorptive effect.

Indications for use.

Fatty seborrhea, acne vulgaris, chronic eczema, pyoderma, diaper rash, psoriasis, dyskeratosis, ichthyosis, warts, corns, red hair deprive of the dermis.

Dosage and administration.
