Pharmacological properties

Mechanism of action. Rosetiran ointment has an irritating effect on nerve endings, causing reflex dilatation of arterioles and capillaries. the above mechanisms are due to the active substances that make up the ointment. in addition, the drug has analgesic, distracting, locally irritating, moderate anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and antiseptic effects.

Indications

Comprehensive treatment of acute respiratory diseases accompanied by rhinitis, nasal congestion, cough, headache; joint and muscle pain, neuralgia, myositis, arthritis, myalgia, arthralgia, rheumatism, sciatica.

Application

Outwardly for grinding. for adults and children over the age of 6 years, the ointment is applied with a thin layer of 2-4 r / day:

• with pain in muscles and joints, neuralgia, myositis, arthritis, rheumatism, sciatica, the ointment is rubbed into the skin of the affected area, a warm bandage is applied from above;
• with rhinitis or nasal congestion, the ointment is applied to the intact skin of the wings of the nose;
• with a cough associated with a cold, the ointment is applied to the upper parts of the chest and neck and after 3-5 minutes, gently rubbed with light massaging movements;
• with a headache, ointment is applied to the skin of the temples.

For children aged 3-5 years, the ointment is applied in a thin layer on the upper back 2–3 r / day, but in no case on the face and wings of the nose.

The course of therapy is 3-5 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, ba, whooping cough, tendency to cramps, damaged or inflamed skin, open wounds in the areas of application, dermatitis, eczema.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are likely (including hyperemia, itching, rash, hives), skin irritation, contact dermatitis; headache, fainting, agitation; the occurrence of seizures caused by camphor; bronchospasm. dermatitis is possible in children.

special instructions

Avoid contact with ointment in the eyes and mucous membranes. applying the drug to damaged skin is undesirable. after rubbing the ointment into the skin there is a feeling of cold, then warmth, a slight burning sensation and tingling sensation.

After each use of the ointment, wash your hands thoroughly. With severe skin irritation, the use of the drug should be discontinued.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding. With caution, ointment should be used during pregnancy and lactation, taking into account the risk / benefit ratio.

Children. Prescribing the drug is possible in children over the age of 3 years.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles and working with other mechanisms. Usually not affected, but the possibility of fainting and seizures should be considered.
