Structure:

Active ingredients: 100 g of the mixture contain: iodine - 0.25 g of ethanol 96% - 5 g; chloroform - 80 g;

excipients: paraffin.

Basic physical and chemical properties: the mixture is a brown-red suspension with the smell of chloroform.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics

It has a local irritating, distracting and antiseptic effect. The pharmacological effect of the drug is due to the properties of the active substances that make up its composition. So, chloroform, ethyl alcohol and iodine, when applied to the skin, have a locally irritating effect, which leads to reflex changes in the body and, thus, reduces the sensation of pain. In addition, iodine and ethyl alcohol have bactericidal properties.

Indications.

Symptomatic topical treatment of rheumatism, myositis, neuralgia, neuritis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. skin diseases of various etiologies.

Interaction with other drugs and other types of interactions.

The drug should not be used simultaneously with topical medicines containing essential oils, ammonia, as well as with topical preparations containing organic compounds, as denaturation of protein components can be observed.

Incompatible with brilliant green, with disinfectant medicines containing mercury, meadows, reducing agents.

Use during pregnancy or lactation.

Dosage and administration.

Apply topically, topically. with a swab, apply in the form of a grid to the affected areas 1 time per day. remove excess with a cotton-gauze swab. the duration of treatment depends on the type of disease, the condition of the patient, the effect achieved.
