FLEET RADY-TO-HUZ KLISMA (FLEET RADY TO USE)

Lab. Casen-fleet A06A G20

COMPOSITION AND FORM OF ISSUE:

Rectal. 21.4 g / 118 ml + 9.4 g / 118 ml bottle of 133 ml, No. 1

Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate 21.4 g / 118 ml
Disodium Phosphate Dodecahydrate 9.4 g / 118 ml

No. UA / 10995/01/01 from 09/21/2010 to 09/21/2015

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:

absorption in the colon is minimal, however, it was reported that in approximately 25% of individuals with normal renal function, after oral administration of drugs of a similar action containing sodium phosphate, asymptomatic hyperphosphatemia was noted, 2–3 times the normal level of phosphorus exceeded. Data on rectal solutions were taken from data on the use of 133 ml of sodium phosphate in the form of enemas. These data confirm that in 30% of patients there is a temporary increase in plasma phosphate levels compared with the upper limit of normal, followed by a decrease, after 10 minutes, of the average phosphorus level. Under normal conditions, a very strong absorption of phosphorus is detected in the small intestine, into which rectal preparations do not enter.
Fleet Redi-to-use enema with rectal administration will act as a saline laxative. The accumulation of fluid in the lower intestine leads to expansion and promotes intestinal motility and motility, causing bowel movement only in the rectum, sigmoid and part of the descending colon.

INDICATIONS:

occasional constipation; cases when colon cleansing is necessary (before and after surgery on the large intestine, childbirth and the postpartum period, before proctoscopy, sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy, as well as before an X-ray examination of the large intestine).

APPLICATION:

Fleet Redi-to-Use enema is for rectal use only. The following recommendations must be observed.
Adults and the elderly:
1 bottle (the dose that is administered is 118 ml) no more than 1 time per day or as directed by a doctor.
For a softer insertion, the tip of the Comfortip bottle is coated with paraffin.
The position in which it is necessary to carry out the introduction procedure:
1. Lie on your left side, bending both legs at the knees, put your hands under your head.
2. Remove the orange protective case. Remove the case carefully, holding the bottle in an upright position and firmly holding the wound cap with your fingers.
3. By continuously pressing, carefully insert the tip of the bottle into the rectum so that it faces toward the navel.
4. Squeeze the bottle until all its contents have passed into the intestines.
You should stop the introduction if you feel any resistance. Forced administration may be harmful.
Note: there is no need to leave the bottle empty. The bottle contains an amount of solution greater than necessary to achieve the desired effect, so a small liquid residue is acceptable.
5. Carefully pull the tip out of the rectum. Possible loss of a small amount of liquid.
6. Remain in the same position (paragraph 1) until you feel a strong desire to empty the intestines - this usually happens within 2-5 minutes.
After use, put the used bottle back in a cardboard box for disposal.
If rectal bleeding has been noticed, you should immediately consult a doctor.
You should be prepared for the urge to empty the intestines within 5 minutes after applying Fleet Redi-Tu-Huz enema. This is a normal process and indicates that the drug is acting.
If there is no urge to defecate during the indicated time, consult your doctor. Until this time, you should not apply Fleet Redi-to-use enema.
Drink plenty of fluids (water, clear soups, herbal teas, black tea or black coffee or diluted stimulant drinks, fruit juices without pulp (but not red or purple juices)) to prevent dehydration. It is necessary to drink 250 ml of fluid every hour until the effect of the introduction of Fleet Redu-tu-juz enema disappears. After this, you should drink water to satisfy your thirst after the procedure or as directed by a doctor.

Use with caution in elderly or exhausted patients and patients with uncontrolled hypertension, ascites, heart disease, changes in the rectal mucosa (ulcers, fissures), colostomy or electrolyte imbalance, which was noted earlier, since hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, hyperphosphatemia, hypernatum may occur and acidosis. In cases where there is a suspicion of an imbalance in the electrolyte balance in patients who have previously noted hypophosphatemia, electrolyte levels should be monitored before and after the use of Fleet Reduces enema.
The drug should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal function (risk of hyperphosphatemia).
It is not recommended to use Fleet Red-to-use enema frequently and for a long time, as addiction can occur.
If rectal bleeding has occurred or intestinal bowel movement has not occurred after the use of Redi-tu-juz enema (emptying occurs within 5 minutes after administration), further use of the drug should be discontinued and consult a doctor, since such signs may indicate a serious condition. Before using Fleet Redi-to-use enemas, you should read the instructions. INTERACTIONS:

you should tell your doctor if any other drugs that are prescribed over or over-the-counter have been used before using the drug, namely: drugs for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) or angina pectoris (calcium channel blockers); preparations for emptying the bladder (diuretics); some drugs that are used for mental disorders (lithium); any other drugs that can cause dehydration or affect the level of electrolytes (potassium, sodium, phosphates or water) in the body.
Use with caution in patients who take the above drugs, as they may develop hyperphosphatemia, hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, hypernatremic dehydration and acidosis.
Since hypernatremia is associated with a low level of lithium, the simultaneous use of Fleet Redu-juz enema and lithium therapy can lead to a decrease in the level of lithium in blood plasma and a decrease in efficiency.

OVERDOSE:

fatal cases were noted when Fleet Redu-to-juz enema was used in very high doses either for a long period or in patients with obstruction.
With an overdose or prolonged use, hyperphosphatemia, hypocalcemia, hypernatremia, hypernatremic dehydration, acidosis and tetany may be noted.
Recovery after toxic effects is usually achieved by rehydration. In severe cases, the correction of electrolyte changes requires the introduction of calcium and magnesium salts (10% calcium gluconate) with a simultaneous increase in the elimination of exogenous phosphorus, as well as the use of dialysis.
If more than required, Fleet Redi-Tu-Huz enemas were used or the drug was accidentally swallowed (drunk), you should immediately inform your doctor. If possible, take a bottle or cardboard box with you to show your doctor.
