Pharmacological properties

the drug exhibits antianginal, metabolic, cardiotonic and antihypertensive effects. reduces adrenergic innervation, has antiarrhythmic, mild diuretic, antioxidant and cardioprotective effects. improves lipid metabolism (level of cholesterol, β-lipoproteins). affects the rheological properties of blood, helps to reduce the coagulation properties of blood plasma and normalize the level of fibrinogen and prothrombin index. the drug normalizes blood circulation, metabolic processes and nutrition of the heart muscle, contractile and pumping functions of the myocardium, helps normalize elevated hell, strengthens the walls of blood vessels and has an anti-sclerotic effect.

In complex treatment, Pumpan reduces the frequency and intensity of angina attacks, prevents the further development and exacerbation of heart disease. Due to the complex effect, the inclusion of Pumpan in basic cardiovascular therapy can reduce the intake or dose of other cardiovascular drugs (nitrates, β-adrenergic blockers, calcium antagonists). In patients with unstable angina, including refractory to basic therapy, the inclusion of Pumpan in complex treatment helps to stabilize the patients condition.

Indications

Neurocirculatory dystonia, in the complex treatment of chronic coronary heart disease, ag, dystrophic myocardial changes, heart rhythm disturbances, chronic heart failure.

Application

Adults (all therapeutic indications), children over 12 years of age (only neurocirculatory dystonia): 1 tablet or 10 drops of the drug, diluted in a small amount of water.

At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases requiring a rapid decrease in the severity of symptoms, it is recommended that the drug be taken every 0.5–1 hours to 8 times a day until the condition improves, but no more than 3 days. After improvement, the frequency of admission should be reduced to 2-3 times a day.

To achieve maximum effect, it is recommended to take Pumpan in between meals (30 minutes before or 1 hour after eating), holding it in the mouth for a while before swallowing.

The duration of the course of treatment is 2-3 months. When the state stabilizes, a transition to a 1–2-time maintenance dose is possible.

Children. The use of the drug in children under the age of 12 years is not recommended due to lack of data.

The use of the drug Pumpan oral drops in children over the age of 12 years is not recommended for such therapeutic indications as heart failure, hypertension and coronary heart disease due to lack of data.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active substances, plants of the family Asteraceae (such as chamomile, calendula, chrysanthemum) or an auxiliary substance of the drug.

Side effects

In rare cases, people with hypersensitivity to any component of the drug may cause allergic reactions.

An increase in the phases of tachycardia was observed and very rarely, mainly at night, an increase in the phases of bradycardia. There is not enough data to conclude the incidence of adverse reactions.

In arrhythmias, the drug should not be taken without consulting a doctor, since pumpan can reduce the ectopic activity of the heart (supraventricular and ventricular extrasystoles), and in some patients, frequent increase in supraventricular and ventricular extrasystoles.

Pumpan oral drops should not be used in patients with alcohol dependence, since 160 mg of alcohol is contained in a single dose. The alcohol content should also be considered when using the drug during pregnancy, lactation, in children and patients with a high risk of liver disease and the risk of epilepsy attacks.

At the beginning of treatment, the existing symptoms of the disease may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). Such a reaction is usually not harmful. If symptoms persist, discontinue use of the drug. After the primary reaction disappears, the drug can be used again. With a repeated exacerbation of symptoms, the use of the drug must be stopped.

Long-term treatment with homeopathic medicines should be monitored by a doctor with experience in using homeopathic medicines, as symptoms may occur that are not indicated in the instructions for medical use.

Since Pumpan contains plant and other natural components, during storage, there may be a slight change in the taste, transparency or color of the solution, which does not lead to a decrease in the quality and effectiveness of the drug.

The dosage form of the tablet contains lactose, therefore, in patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, a drop-shaped preparation must be used instead of tablets.

Use during pregnancy or lactation. Data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation are not available. There is no evidence of any risk of taking the drug during pregnancy and lactation, therefore it is recommended to use the drug during this period with caution, only if, in the opinion of the doctor, the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus / baby.

There are no data on the effect of the drug on reproductive function.

Interactions

There is currently no information regarding interactions with other drugs.

With the simultaneous use of Pumpan with other cardiovascular drugs, the frequency of administration or dose of basic therapy drugs can be reduced, but only under the supervision of a doctor. It is recommended that you take a 20-minute break between taking medication.
