Prostalad

Prostalad oral tincture is used for prophylaxis and as part of the complex treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in the initial stage of the disease (with difficulty urinating) and urinary tract infections.

Structure

1 bottle (jar) contains (active substance) tinctures from medicinal plants (St. Johns wort (Hyperici herba), Canadian goldenrod grass (Solidaginis canadensis herba), shepherd’s bag grass (Bursae pastoris herba), common herb (steamed medicinal) (Agrimoniae eupatoriae herba), flower arnica (Arnicae flos), flower calendula (Calendulae flos), valerian root (Valerianae radix), purple root echinacea (Echinaceae purpureae radix)) (1: 4.4) (70% ethanol extractant) - 100 ml.

Excipients are absent, except for the extractant.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (including plants of the family Asteraceae);
• history of alcoholism, the use of drugs containing alcohol, and the actual alcohol;
• peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;
• liver cirrhosis taking antipsychotics and tranquilizers;
• arterial hypertension, increased blood coagulation, thromboembolism (history);
• diabetes;
• tuberculosis;
• blood leukocyte diseases (leukemia, agranulocytosis);
• rheumatism; connective tissue diseases (collagenoses);
• oncological diseases;
• multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, immunosuppression or immunodeficiency of various etiologies and other chronic viral diseases, HIV infection, AIDS;
• depression and other disorders accompanied by depression of the central nervous system.

Mode of application

The drug is taken by adult men inside one teaspoon 2 times a day, previously diluted in 50 ml of water. The duration of the course of treatment is up to 3 months.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms has not been identified.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, symptoms occur, which are listed below.

From the side of the nervous system: drowsiness, depression, insomnia, sleep disorders, increased irritability of the nervous system, headache, dizziness, general weakness, decreased hearing and visual acuity, palpitations, mental agitation.

From the digestive system: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, discomfort in the liver.

From the hemopoietic system: increased activity of the blood coagulation system.

The above symptoms disappear on their own after discontinuation of the drug during the day.

In case of an overdose, discontinue use of the drug. Therapy is symptomatic.

Side effects

In some cases, with increased sensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic reactions are possible, including skin rashes, itching, hyperemia, skin edema, angioedema, urticaria, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, anaphylactic shock. With prolonged use - lowering blood pressure, hypercoagulation; difficulty breathing, bronchospasm with obstruction, bronchial asthma, dizziness; arterial hypotension; nausea; vomiting dry mouth, abdominal pain; constipation or diarrhea. There were separate reports of a possible association with autoimmune diseases (disseminated encephalomyelitis, erythema nodosum, immunothrombocytopenia, Evans syndrome, Sjogren-Larsen syndrome with impaired renal tubular function). With prolonged use (more than 8 weeks), leukopenia may occur; depression of emotional reactions, drowsiness, decreased performance; dizziness, headache; polyuria; sweating, chills; photosensitivity (UV radiation should be avoided during treatment).

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life is 3 years.
