Pharmacological properties

the phenolic hydrophobic preparation of propolis (a product of the vital activity of bees) has antimicrobial (on staphylococci, intestinal, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), antifungal (on candida fungi), anti-inflammatory, wound healing and deodorizing effects.

Ascorbic acid is involved in the regulation of redox processes, in carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation, and tissue regeneration. It has a general stimulating effect, increases the bodys resistance to infections, and normalizes capillary permeability.

Indications

As part of the complex treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx (stomatitis, pharyngitis, nasopharyngitis, laryngitis, laryngotracheitis), inflammatory processes after tonsillectomy and other surgical interventions on ENT organs, radiation epithelitis.

Application

Assign to adults and children over the age of 15 years. tablets dissolve in the oral cavity.

Acute and chronic diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (stomatitis, pharyngitis, nasopharyngitis). Assign 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.

Laryngitis, laryngotracheitis. On the first day, 2 tablets are prescribed every 2 hours (8-10 tablets per day). Then 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.

Radiation epithelitis. In the treatment of radiation epithelitis of the I and II degree, 1 tablet is prescribed 3-4 times a day, III degree - 1 tablet 4-6 times a day.

The course of treatment is 5-10 days, depending on the therapeutic effect, tolerance of the drug, the nature of complex therapy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, acute eczema, age up to 15 years.

Allergic reactions (itching, flushing of the skin, rash) are possible.

special instructions

In patients with increased sensitivity to beekeeping products (including a history), the risk of developing allergic reactions to proalor increases.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding. During pregnancy, Proalor should be used under medical supervision, taking into account the benefit / risk ratio. If necessary, use during lactation should be interrupted.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles or work with complex mechanisms. With caution, Proalor should be used for drivers of vehicles, since the results of a study on alcohol may be distorted.

Interactions

Proalor is not recommended to be used simultaneously with other antiseptic agents or beekeeping products, multivitamin preparations, hormonal contraceptives, alkaline solutions for drinking. ascorbic acid, which is part of the preparation, increases the absorption of penicillin, iron, reduces the effect of heparin, indirect anticoagulants, and increases the risk of crystalluria during treatment with salicylates.

Overdose

Perhaps an increase in side effects of the drug. in case of allergic reactions, the drug should be discontinued, antihistamines should be prescribed.
