Essential oils and flavonoids of thyme herb have a bronchospasmolytic and secretolytic effect. The antibacterial effect of the drug, due to the thymol component of the essential oil from thyme herb, was also confirmed.
Pharmacokinetics The thymol component of thyme essential oil is secreted mainly by the lungs.
