Pharmacological properties

predicarbate - an active substance for external use, which is contained in the preparation, is an improved potent glucocorticoid with a pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative, antiproliferative and antipruritic effect.

Indications

Inflammatory skin diseases requiring the use of local corticosteroids.

Application

Prednitop cream - treatment of acute skin diseases (e.g. hyperemia, ulceration).

Prednitop ointment - treatment of weeping or dry skin diseases.

Prednitop ointment - treatment of chronic skin diseases (e.g. peeling, roughening of skin folds). Apply topically.

The drug is applied 1 time per day with a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin. If necessary, the frequency of application of the drug can be increased up to 2 times a day.

The course of treatment is determined by the doctor, usually it is no more than 2 weeks.

Indication The tuba has an original cap. Before the first use, it is necessary to pierce the hole in the aluminum membrane using the rod of the original cap.

Contraindications

Side effects

During treatment with the prednitop preparation, undesirable side effects may occur - telangiectasia, redness of the skin and striae on the skin, rosacea-like dermatitis with or without thinning of the skin. abrupt cessation of therapy can cause worsening of wound healing. due to the immunosuppressive effect of corticosteroids, latent or enhanced development of existing skin infections, discoloration of the skin, and hypertrichosis can be noted.

With prolonged use of the drug or applying it to large areas of the skin, especially when applying hermetic dressings, due to ingress of the active substance into the body, hormonal imbalance or the development of drug Cushings syndrome may occur.

Do not apply to areas around the eyes. if you have not applied the drug the previous time, then do not double the dose. continue treatment as directed by your doctor.

When applied to the skin around the eyes: regular ingestion of corticoids in the conjunctival sac can lead to increased intraocular pressure.

In case of bacterial and / or fungal skin infections: local treatment of bacterial and / or fungal skin infections by Prednitop is possible only with drugs that have antibacterial or antifungal effects. You should consider the possible increased sensitivity to cetyl and stearyl alcohol.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. During pregnancy, the use of the drug is only possible if the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Do not apply to large areas of the skin. The active substance - predicarbate - passes into breast milk, so for the period of treatment should refrain from breast-feeding.

Children.In infants, Prednitop can only be used if the benefit outweighs the potential risk. The use of Prednitop in infants can cause the development of Cushings syndrome due to increased metabolism.
