Pharmacological properties

Dimethylpolysiloxane (dimethicone 1000), contained in the preparation as an auxiliary substance, is an organic compound with a high molecular weight, possessing enveloping properties, anti-inflammatory, reparative and antipruritic action, improves trophic processes in the vaginal mucosa, and also prevents the penetration of the active components of the drug into the mucous membrane .

Indications

Polygynax

Treatment of vaginitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug, including:

• bacterial vaginitis caused by banal pyogenic microflora;
• recurrent nonspecific vaginitis;
• vaginitis caused by fungi of the genus Candida;
• mixed vaginitis.

In order to prevent infectious complications, Polygynax is recommended to be used before any surgical intervention on the genitals, before abortion, during the installation of the intrauterine system, before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix, before an intrauterine and intraurethral examination, before delivery.

Polygynax Virgo

Treatment of vaginitis, vulvovaginitis, bacterial, fungal, or mixed cervicitis, which are caused by flora sensitive to the components of the drug, in virgins.

Application

Polygynax adults are prescribed intravaginally 1 capsule per day in the evening before bedtime. the course of treatment is 12 days. preventive course - 6 days. the drug can be used during menstruation.

Polygynax Virgo is prescribed 1 capsule in the evening before bedtime for 6 consecutive days. It is necessary to incise the pointed end of the capsule with scissors and introduce the contents of the capsule intravaginally. Do not stop treatment for the period of menstruation.

Side effects

When using the drug in recommended doses, the risk of side effects is minimal. side effects of aminoglycosides are very rare with vaginal administration. with local use of the drug, allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, urticaria), local irritation reactions and contact dermatitis occur in some cases.
