Brexin is a new generation non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug containing β-cyclodextrin piroxicam and is intended for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis.

Structure

active substance: piroxicam;

1 tablet contains piroxicam-betadex 191.2 mg, which is equivalent to 20 mg of piroxicam.

Pharmacodynamics

Brexin® is piroxicam in the form of a complex with β-cyclodextrin (piroxicam-β-cyclodextrin) in a molar ratio of 1: 2.5.
Brexin® is very easily soluble in water, and more quickly and completely absorbed than pure piroxicam after oral administration, and, thus, leads to a faster onset of its effective action and greater tolerance of the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications

Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis).

Children

The drug is not used in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.
