Pharmacological properties

The mechanism of action of unsaponifiable compounds of avocado and soybean oils was evaluated during in vitro and in vivo studies in a group of patients with osteoarthritis, the results of which demonstrated the following main pharmacological properties:

• enhance collagen synthesis by articular chondrocytes and reduce the synthesis of IL-1 (interleukins-1) by chondrocytes;
• increase the expression of PAI-1 (an inhibitor of plasminogen activator, a fraction that inhibits plasminogen activator, which causes joint damage in osteoarthritis);
• increase the expression of transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) in chondrocytes, which was later recognized as exhibiting anabolic properties relative to cartilage.

All of the above properties of unsaponifiable compounds of avocado and soybean oils make it possible to assume that the drug Piascledin 300 stimulates TGF-β, which leads to the restoration of the extracellular matrix component in the articular cartilage.

When evaluating the action of Piascledin 300, namely, according to the values ​​of 3 selected indices (gum inflammation, gum bleeding, bleeding during probing), a decrease in the severity of gum inflammation was noted.

There was a significant decrease in the number of exacerbations of gum disease in the treatment of patients with Piascledin 300.

Indications

In rheumatology: symptomatic treatment of osteoarthrosis of the knee and hip joints.

In dentistry: auxiliary treatment of periodontitis.

Application

Apply to adults inside.

Take 1 capsule 1 time per day with meals, washed down with one glass of water. The capsule should not be chewed.

If you missed the drug, the next day you should take the usual dose, you should not double the dose. The duration of treatment with Piascledin 300 is determined in accordance with the doctors recommendations.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Criteria for assessing the incidence of adverse reactions: very often (≥1 / 10), often (≥1 / 100, 1/10); infrequently (≥1 / 1000, 1/100), rarely (≥1 / 10,000, 1/1000), very rarely (1/10 000), the frequency is unknown (it is impossible to determine from the available data).

From the digestive system: very rarely - belching with a fatty taste, which can be avoided by taking the capsule with food, diarrhea and epigastric pain.

On the part of the liver and biliary tract: very rarely - an increase in transaminases, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin and gammaglutamyl transpeptidase.

From the side of the immune system: very rarely - hypersensitivity reactions.

The drug contains soybean oil, so if you are allergic to soy or peanut products, you should not use the drug.

Piascledin 300 belongs to a new class of drugs SYSADOA (symptomatic slow-acting drugs for the treatment of osteoarthritis), the main property of which is their delayed effect. For this reason, at the beginning of treatment with Piascledin 300, it is possible to recommend the appointment of NSAIDs and / or analgesics, the dose of which should be gradually reduced in accordance with the increased effectiveness of Piascledin 300.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. Studies of the use of the drug with the participation of pregnant women have not been conducted, therefore, it is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy.

There is no data on the use of the drug during lactation, so you should refrain from using the drug during this period.

Children. The drug should not be used in children (under the age of 18 years) due to the lack of studies on the effectiveness and safety of this drug in patients of this age category.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms.Piascledin 300 does not have a known effect on the ability to drive vehicles or work with other mechanisms.

Interactions
