Oral solution "Pelorsin" is used for acute and chronic infections of the respiratory tract and ENT organs (bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillar tonsillitis, rhinopharyngitis).
Structure
1 g of the solution contains (active ingredient) 800 mg of extract of liquid from the roots of pelargonium clear-cut (Pelargonium sidoides) (1: 8-10), the extractant is ethanol 11% (m / m).
Excipient - glycerin (85%).
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
- increased tendency to bleeding, taking medications that slow down the process of blood coagulation;
- severe liver and kidney diseases (due to the lack of sufficient experience with the use of this drug in such cases).
Mode of application
The solution should be taken with a small amount of liquid 30 minutes before a meal in the morning, afternoon and evening.
In the acute stage of the disease, usually prescribed:
- adults and children over 12 years old - 30 drops 3 times a day;
- children from 6 to 12 years old - 20 drops 3 times a day;
- children from one to 6 years old - 10 drops 3 times a day.
For the prevention of relapse and further treatment of chronic diseases, adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 10–20 drops of the drug 3 times a day.
The average duration of treatment for acute illness and relapse prevention is 7–10 days. The total duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.

Pregnant women
It is not recommended to take the drug during pregnancy or lactation due to insufficient clinical experience with its use in this group of patients.
Children
There is no experience with the use of the drug in children under one year of age, therefore this drug is prescribed for children from one year old.
The use of the drug "Pelorsin" for the treatment of young children (from one year to 6 years) is recommended under the supervision of a doctor.
Drivers
The effect on the reaction rate when driving or working with other mechanisms has not been studied, but it should be borne in mind that the drug contains 11% ethanol (m / m).
Overdose
So far, there have been no reports of overdose. Perhaps an increase in adverse reactions.
Side effects
From the digestive tract: digestive tract disorders (including stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea), slight bleeding from the gums.
From the respiratory system: mild nosebleeds.
On the part of the skin / on the part of the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions (including skin rash, urticaria, itching of the skin and mucous membranes). In extremely rare cases, severe hypersensitivity reactions with swelling of the face, shortness of breath and a decrease in blood pressure are possible.
From the hepatobiliary system: increased liver function. A causal relationship between the increase in these indicators and the use of the drug has not been demonstrated.
Storage conditions
