Neocardil contains standardized extracts of leaves and flowers of hawthorn, ginkgo leaves and pueraria root, the main components of which are flavonoids (quercetin, hyperin, hyperoside, vitexin), isoflavones, organic acids, carotenoids, pectins, triterpene and flavon glycosides, choline. the pharmacological effect of the drug is due to the effects of the complex of active substances that make up its composition.

Hawthorn fruit extract has a mild cardiotonic, antianginal, antioxidant, antiarrhythmic, antiplatelet and antispasmodic effect. It improves blood supply and the functional state of the myocardium, contractile and pumping functions of the heart muscle, increases the sensitivity of the myocardium to cardiac glycosides, reduces high blood pressure and normalizes heart rate.

Due to the content of ginkgo biloba leaf extract, the drug improves cerebral blood flow and the supply of brain tissue with oxygen and glucose. It has antihypoxic and antioxidant effects, affects the rheological properties of blood and microcirculation, prevents platelet aggregation, improves blood circulation in the limbs. It normalizes metabolic processes, has a neuroprotective, antihypoxic and antioxidant effect. Application

Adults should take neocardil 1 capsule 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening, or once in the morning the entire daily dose.

The drug can be used regardless of food. Capsules should be swallowed with water. The term of treatment is determined by the doctor. The therapeutic effect is usually observed after 1 month. It is recommended to carefully observe patients who are simultaneously taking drugs that are metabolized by cytochrome P450 3A4. There is no evidence of abuse of ginkgo biloba (EGb 761). Based on the pharmacological characteristics of the drug, ginkgo biloba (EGb 761) has no potential for abuse.

The drug contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary disorders of lactase deficiency, galactosemia or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should not use this drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. There is no data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation, so Neocardil is not used during these periods.

Children. There is no experience with the use of the drug in children, so Neocardil is not used in pediatric practice.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms. In rare cases, a temporary worsening of the reaction due to drowsiness is possible.

Interactions

Clinical studies of interactions with ginkgo biloba (egb 761) have demonstrated its ability to potentiate or inhibit cytochrome p450 isoenzymes. midazolam concentration level changed after concomitant use of ginkgo biloba (egb 761), which suggests the presence of interaction through cyp 3a4. therefore, drugs that are mainly metabolized via cyp 3a4 and have a narrow therapeutic index should be used with caution.

Hawthorn preparations enhance the effect of quinidine, procainamide, cardiac glycosides. It is not recommended to use hawthorn preparations simultaneously with alkaloids salts due to the formation of sediment.

The drug potentiates the action of antiarrhythmic drugs, enhances the effects of sleeping pills, sedatives, antihypertensive drugs. Do not use the drug with cisapride.

Overdose

Perhaps the occurrence of bradycardia, requiring discontinuation of the drug.
