Pharmacological properties
Mefenamine sodium salt, which is the main active ingredient in the ointment, is an NSAID. The combination of these ingredients leads to increased anti-inflammatory, analgesic and wound healing effects of the ointment, prolonging its effect. As a result of applying the ointment, the number of leukocytes in the wound increases and their ability to phagocytosis increases.
Pharmacokinetics The ointment acts mainly locally, is poorly absorbed through the mucous membrane and skin, and has virtually no resorptive effect. Indications
Ulcerative necrotic and inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membrane: exfoliative cheilitis, non-healing cracks, traumatic lip ulcers, acute and chronic ulcerative gingivitis, aphthous stomatitis, nonspecific oral ulcers; carbuncles, boils, granular wounds, trophic ulcers, eczema, traumatic skin wounds, burn injuries, myositis, rheumatoid arthritis.
Application
Mefenate is applied to damaged areas of the skin or mucous membrane with a special glass spatula, spatula or with gauze (cotton) tampons (napkins) 1-3 times a day. apply aseptic dressing to oily damaged skin areas.
The duration of treatment is 7-15 days, but if necessary, it can be continued.
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the ointment. a history of asthma attacks, urticaria, or acute rhinitis due to the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
Side effects
