Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamic parameters. lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium animalis subsp. The lactis contained in Linex® Fort capsules constitute a persons natural intestinal microbiota.

The therapeutic and preventive effect of the strains of these lactic acid bacteria is carried out due to inhibition of the growth of pathogens. This occurs by preventing their adhesion to the intestinal wall and further colonization, competitive antagonism for food substrates, the production of broad-spectrum antibacterial and fungicidal substances - bacteriocins, as well as toxic hydrogen peroxide. The production of succinic, acetic and lactic acid by bifidobacteria (the latter is also produced by lactobacilli) creates low pH values ​​in the intestine, forming an unfavorable environment for the existence of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora. In addition, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis activate the innate and adaptive immune response.

Disorder of the physiological balance of intestinal microbiota due to the influence of viral or bacterial digestive tract infections, antibiotic and chemotherapy, radiation therapy of the pelvic organs and abdominal cavity, as well as a delay in the layout of the normal intestinal microbiota during neonatality, causes dyspeptic disorders and increased gas formation in the intestine bowel movements.

Using Linex Capsules^® Forte contributes to the normal activity and function of the gastrointestinal tract and leads to an effective reduction in the severity and frequency of pathological manifestations of the digestive tract (diarrhea in the first place) caused by intestinal dysbiosis.

Pharmacokinetic parameters. After per os administration, lactic acid bacteria show a local effect in the gastrointestinal tract. The study of pharmacokinetic parameters was not carried out, since absorption into the systemic circulation does not occur.

The resistance of the strain to the effects of gastric juice and bile acids ensures high survival of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis when passing through the upper gastrointestinal tract. Representatives of these strains have the ability to adhere to the intestinal mucosa and, due to peristaltic contractions and the act of defecation, are gradually excreted from the body.

The results of preclinical studies indicate the safety of the drug, its lack of toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic properties.

Indications

• Combined therapy for intestinal dysbiosis; prevention and treatment of diarrhea, flatulence and other dyspeptic phenomena of viral or bacterial etiology (including “traveler’s diarrhea”), as well as diarrhea associated with the use of chemotherapeutic drugs.

Application

1 capsule with meals. multiplicity per day: children aged 1-2 years - 1 time; 2-12 years - 1-2 times (depending on the severity of the symptoms); 12 years old and adults 1-3 times (depending on the severity of symptoms).

If it is impossible for a child to swallow a whole capsule, its contents are poured into a liquid (volume - 1 teaspoon), which must be consumed immediately.

Do not combine with hot or alcoholic drinks.

Continue taking Linex^® Forte until the patients condition improves (determined by the characteristic features of the body and the etiology of the disease).

Doctor consultation is required in case of continued diarrhea, despite the use of Linex for 2 days^® Forte.

special instructions

In case of fever above 38 ° C, duration of diarrhea for more than 2 days, severe diarrhea with exsicosis and weight loss, mucus or occult blood in the stool, intense abdominal pain, if the patient has a chronic pathology such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes, immunodeficiency conditions (including HIV infection), before using the drug, consult a doctor for advice.

Compensation of water and electrolyte deficiency is the main and primary procedure in the treatment of patients with diarrhea.

Only under medical supervision should be treated with Linex^® Forte in children under the age of 6 years.

Linex^® Forte should not be taken by patients with a gastrointestinal absorption disorder of glucose and galactose, fructosemia or a deficiency of sucrose and isomaltase (1 capsule of the drug contains 29.1 mg of anhydrous glucose and 10.29-17.15 mg of oligofructose).

Perhaps the development of allergic reactions due to the content in the preparation of an insignificant amount of cows milk proteins.

Due to insufficient information on the safety of use in pregnant and breast-feeding women, the use of the drug in this category of patients is not recommended.

There is no information on the effect on the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms.

In the case of combined use with antibacterial drugs, the period of time between the oral administration of these funds and the subsequent administration of Linex capsules^® Forte should be 3 hours.
