Laminaria Thallus

The drug "Laminaria thallus (sea kale)" is used for the following indications:

• chronic atonic constipation;
• chronic enterocolitis, proctitis - as part of complex therapy;
• mild forms of diffuse toxic goiter (bazedovy disease) - as part of complex therapy;
• prevention of endemic goiter, atherosclerosis;
• as an additional remedy for hyperthyroidism.

Structure

The active substance is thallus kelp.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug or to iodine preparations;
• hypersensitivity to seaweed;
• tendency to bleeding, nephritis, hemorrhagic diathesis, furunculosis, pulmonary tuberculosis.

Mode of application

Adults apply ½-1 teaspoon of sea kale in the morning or in the evening, with ⅓-½ cup of water.

With thyroid dysfunction, the course of treatment is 15-30 days, in other cases, the duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

The use of the drug during pregnancy or lactation is contraindicated.

Children

There is no experience with the use of the drug in children.

Drivers

The ability of the drug to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms has not been established.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions. With prolonged use and increased sensitivity to iodine, manifestations of iodism are possible (runny nose, lacrimation, hypersalivation). If adverse reactions occur, stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C, out of the reach of children.
