Pharmacological properties

The therapeutic effect of lactovit forte is due to the presence of lactic acid producing bacteria with antagonistic activity against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms, as well as creating favorable conditions for the formation of a normal intestinal microbiocenosis.bacterial spores are activated in the stomach, after which in the duodenum pass into live vegetation form and create favorable conditions for the formation of a normal intestinal microbiocenosis due to the isolation of l (+) - lactic acid.The bacteria carry out the enzymatic breakdown of proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates (including in case of lactase deficiency in children), and also contribute to the repair of the mucous membrane intestines.

Folic Acid (Vitamin B₉) is necessary for normal leuko- and erythropoiesis, the synthesis of nucleic and amino acids, purines and pyrimidines. During pregnancy, protects the fetus from the action of teratogenic factors.

Cyanocobalamin (vitamin b₁₂) activates the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids; participates in the synthesis of nucleic acids; stimulates erythropoiesis; normalizes the function of the liver and nervous system. Vitamins B₉ and B₁₂ act synergistically, contributing to the restoration of the intestinal mucosa (with dysbiosis, especially caused by drugs, when there is a deficiency of vitamins due to the blocking of the enzyme systems of the cell with antibiotics, which leads to disruption of the endogenous synthesis of vitamins K and group B, as well as impaired absorption of vitamins).

Pharmacokinetics There are currently no pharmacological models for the study of complex biological substances in humans, consisting of components with different molecular weights. Folic acid is well absorbed in the digestive tract, metabolized in the liver and other tissues, excreted in the bile and urine.

Indications

Adults and children (starting from the first months of life) with chronic colitis of various etiologies, including ulcerative colitis; dysbacteriosis resulting from the use of antibiotics, sulfa drugs, etc .; after acute intestinal infections; in the presence of digestive tract dysfunction or the release of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria; in obstetric and gynecological practice with non-specific inflammatory diseases of the genital organs and prenatal preparation in pregnant women at risk with a violation of the purity of the vaginal secretion to the III – IV degree; as part of complex therapy for urticaria, eczema, diathesis in children, atopic dermatitis.

Application

Adults and children inside 2 times a day 40 minutes before meals. daily doses depending on age:

For children under the age of 2 years, you can give the drug immediately before feeding 1 capsule / sachet (opening and dissolving the capsule / sachet in water or milk), over 2 years - 2 capsules / sachet; adults - 2–4 capsules / sachet.

With dysbiosis of various etiologies - 3-4 weeks. With prolonged and chronic dysentery, postdysenteric colitis, after acute intestinal infections, as well as prolonged intestinal dysfunction of unknown etiology - at least 4-6 weeks; with ulcerative colitis, chronic colitis and enterocolitis - 1.5–2 months.

To consolidate the clinical effect obtained with incomplete normalization of the intestinal microflora 10-14 days after the end of the course of treatment, the drug is prescribed in a maintenance dose (½ of the usual daily dose) for 1-1.5 months. With a recurring course of the disease, repeated courses of treatment are advisable. In these cases, before prescribing the drug, it is necessary to re-examine the microflora.

In obstetric and gynecological practice, Lactovit forte is used orally in normal doses. For prenatal preparation of pregnant women at risk, the drug is prescribed 2 capsules 1 time per day for 5-8 days. Treatment is carried out under bacteriological control until the purity of the vaginal secretion is restored to the I – II degree, the appearance of lactoflora and the disappearance of the clinical symptoms of the disease.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to lactose or other components of the drug.
