Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamic parameters. Framycetin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic for topical use. exposure to framycetin disrupts the synthesis of proteins that are vital for the functioning of a bacterial cell, which leads to the death of the microorganism.

Topical therapy with framycetin creates concentrations that have a bactericidal effect, aimed at both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms - pathogens of upper respiratory tract infections.

Sensitivity to corynebacterium framycetin, Branhamella catarrhalis, methicillin-sensitive staphylococci, acinetobacteria (mainly Acinetobacter baumanii), E. coli, campylobacter, representatives of the genus citrobacter, Enterobacterium enterobacterium, Enterobacterium enterobacterium, Enterobacterium enterobacterium, Enterobacterium colobacterobacterium, Enterobacterium enterobacterium, Enterobacterium inferiorum), proteoses (Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Morganella morganii, Providencia rettgeri); Klebsiella, Salmonella, Shigella, Yersinia and Serration are also sensitive.

Moderately pronounced activity of framycetin against pathogens of pasteurellosis is noted.

Indications

• Diseases of the upper respiratory tract of an infectious-inflammatory nature (as part of a combination treatment): rhinitis, rhinopharyngitis, sinusitis (in case of intact paranasal sinus walls); inflammatory processes after surgery (therapy and prevention).

Application

1 injection in each nasal passage (adults - 4-6 times a day, children over the age of 1 year - 3 times a day). course - up to 10 days.

When using, observe the vertical position of the vial; the patients head should be tilted forward slightly.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to framycetin (as well as other aminoglycosides) or other components of the drug; children at the age of 1 year.
