Hydrogen peroxide

The preparation “Hydrogen peroxide solution” is used to stop capillary bleeding with superficial tissue damage, nosebleeds, to treat the mucous membrane with stomatitis, periodontitis, tonsillitis, gynecological diseases, and also with purulent wounds.

Structure

The active substance is hydrogen peroxide (100 ml of the solution contains hydrogen peroxide (30%) 10 g).

Excipients: sodium benzoate (E 211), purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Mode of application

The drug is applied to the damaged area of ​​the skin to disinfect wounds per se (i.e. without dilution). To rinse, dissolve one tablespoon in one glass of water; for applications, treatment of wound surfaces, stopping bleeding (capillary), the affected areas are treated with a swab soaked in a solution of hydrogen peroxide. The duration of treatment depends on the effect achieved.

The drug does not affect the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms.

Not observed.

Side effects

There may be a burning sensation at the time of wound treatment. In some cases, with individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, local allergic reactions may occur. With prolonged use for the treatment of the oral mucosa, hypertrophy of the papillae of the tongue is possible.
