Antiseptic combination drug for topical use in infectious diseases of the throat.

Pharmacodynamics The drug has antiseptic properties. The effectiveness of the drug is due to the presence of two broad-spectrum antibacterial components - amylmethacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, which are active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (staphylococci, pneumococci, fusobacteria, especially Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonasarhamelaferhaflamus aerhamelafarmaefrélafammaeferhaflamus aerhamelpharis hemophilus) and have an antifungal effect. They prevent the attachment of a secondary bacterial infection in viral diseases of the upper respiratory tract. Amylmethacresol destroys the structure of bacteria proteins, provides a bactericidal effect. 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol has a bacteriostatic effect due to dehydration of the bacterial cell. Natural therapeutic additives that are part of the drug reduce pain in the throat, have a softening effect on the mucous membrane.

Pharmacokinetics Systemic absorption of the drug is low.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx.

Application

Adults and children over the age of 6 years: it is recommended to take 1 hexoral® lorsept lollipop every 2-3 hours; the maximum daily dose is 8 candies.

Slowly dissolve one lollipop in your mouth. Do not chew or swallow a whole lollipop.

The duration of the course of treatment is 5-7 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

Side effects

From the digestive system: stomatitis, burning sensation, pinching or pain in the mouth and throat, pain and swelling of the lips, tongue, throat, glossitis, glossodynia, dyspepsia, nausea.

From the side of the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including skin rash, itching, angioedema, urticaria, erythema.

Use with caution in patients with epilepsy, patients with impaired cardiac conduction, shock, and liver diseases.

Patients with diabetes should be aware that the drug contains sucrose, glucose solution.

Patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrose-isomaltase deficiency should not use this drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. Adequate and strictly controlled clinical studies of the use of the combination of 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmethacresol during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted, but an increased risk of malformations, spontaneous abortions, or weight loss at birth is not expected. It has not been established whether 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmethacresol or their metabolites penetrate into breast milk.

The drug should not be used during pregnancy and lactation, unless the potential benefit of the treatment to the mother does not exceed the possible risks to the developing fetus or to the baby. You should consult your doctor before using the drug during pregnancy and lactation.

Children. Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
