Gentos restores the physiological balance of sex hormones: it helps to normalize neurohumoral regulation in the hypothalamus – pituitary – testicle system, testosterone, 5α-dihydrotestosterone and estradiol levels, and eliminates age-related androgen deficiency.

It has an antiproliferative effect on the prostate gland: it inhibits its increase. Restores normal urination (reduces the delay and strengthens the stream of urine, facilitates the process of emptying the bladder, reduces the frequency of urination, including at night).

It affects both the mechanical (cessation of stromal tissue proliferation) and the dynamic component (normalization of the smooth muscle tone of the detrusor and the bladder wall) dysuria formation.

It affects the reservoir and evacuation functions of the bladder. Improves microcirculation, venous outflow in the tissues of the urogenital zone. Reduces the severity of infravesical obstruction caused by swelling of the prostate gland.

It has anti-inflammatory, antiexudative and decongestant action, normalizes blood circulation and reduces congestion in the pelvic organs, thus eliminating one of the main causes of development and exacerbation of prostatitis, and provides prevention of inflammatory complications in patients with adenoma.

In patients with prostatitis, the drug reduces the severity of urination disorders, pain and pain during urination, intimacy.

Enhances cavernous blood flow and erectile function in patients with chronic prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia, reduces the risk of infertility and impotence. Normalizes the secretion of the prostate gland.

Indications

In the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis), diseases of the bladder (atony of the bladder, cystitis) in men and women; urination disorders of various origins, including in the postoperative period.

Application

Gentos in the form of drops for oral administration

Adults: 10 drops of the drug, diluted in a small amount of water.

Take 3 times a day 30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal.

At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases requiring a rapid decrease in the severity of symptoms, the recommended intake of the drug every 0.5–1 hours to 8 times a day until the condition improves, but no more than 3 days, after which it should be taken 3 times a day.

To enhance effectiveness, it is recommended that you hold for some time in your mouth before swallowing.

A course of treatment. In acute prostatitis, acute cystitis, the course of treatment is 2 weeks.

With benign prostatic hyperplasia (adenoma), chronic prostatitis, chronic cystitis, atony of the bladder, chronic urination disorders of various origins, the course of treatment is 3 months. When the state stabilizes, a transition to a 1–2-time maintenance dose is possible.

Children. The use of the drug Gentos oral drops in children and adolescents under the age of 18 is not recommended due to lack of data.

Gentos in the form of tablets. Adults and children over the age of 12 years: 1 tablet 2 times a day.

To achieve the maximum effect, the Gentos preparation should be taken 30 minutes before or 1 hour after eating, it is recommended to keep the tablet in the mouth until it is resorbed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

special instructions

Gentos oral drops should not be used in patients with alcohol dependence, since one dose (10 drops) contains 160 mg of alcohol.

The alcohol content should also be considered when using the drug during pregnancy, lactation, in children and patients with a high risk of liver disease and the risk of epilepsy attacks.

Do not use the drug for diseases of the thyroid gland without consulting a doctor.

With an increase in body temperature or the appearance of blood in the urine, it is urgent to consult a doctor. At the beginning of treatment with the drug, the existing symptoms of the disease may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). Such a reaction is usually not harmful. Since Gentos contains plant and other natural components, during storage, a slight change in the taste, transparency or color of the solution may be observed, which does not lead to a decrease in the quality and effectiveness of the drug.

The dosage form of the tablet contains lactose, therefore, in patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, a drop-shaped preparation must be used instead of tablets.
