Fastin, ointment, has bacteriostatic properties, surface anesthetic effect.
Pharmacokinetics
In its composition, Fastin ointment contains anestezin (benzocaine) 30 mg. Benzocaine is slightly soluble in water, which leads to its slow absorption. Like all essential derivatives of para-aminobenzoic acid, it is cleaved by esterase in blood plasma and liver. As a result, para-aminobenzoic acid and ethyl alcohol are formed, which is metabolized to acetyl coenzypharm A. Para-aminobenzoic acid is conjugated with glycine or excreted by the kidneys unchanged. The degree of systemic effect of the drug after application to the skin has not been studied.

Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. allergic and toxic reactions (dyspeptic phenomena, dysbiosis, mental disorders) to a history of chloramphenicol, hypersensitivity to nitrofuran derivatives. psoriasis, eczema, fungal skin diseases, allergic dermatoses.
