Exemestane

Aromazin tablets are indicated for the treatment of:

• Adjuvant therapy of early stages of breast cancer with a positive or unspecified estrogen receptor assay in postmenopausal women to reduce the risk of developing distant, locoregional, or contralateral metastases.
• As a first-line drug for the treatment of advanced breast cancer with a positive test for hormonal receptors in women with natural or induced postmenopausal status.
• As a second-line drug for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in women with natural or induced postmenopausal status and who have a progression of the disease with monotherapy of antiestrogens.
• As a third-line drug for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women and in whom disease progression has been identified with polyhormonal therapy.

Structure

Active substances: 1 tablet contains exemestane - 25 mg;

Excipients: hydrated colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hypromellose, magnesium carbonate, magnesium stearate, beckoning, microcrystalline cellulose, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, macrogol 6000, polysorbate 80, polyvinyl alcohol, Simethicone emulsion, sodium starch, sodium starch.

Contraindications

Aromazin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient of the drug or to any of its excipients. The drug is also contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation, in children.

Aromazin is recommended to take 25 mg once a day daily, preferably after a meal.

Overdose

Data on the use of aromazine in single doses of 600 - 800 mg indicate good tolerance to these doses. When observed in rats and dogs, mortality was recorded after administration of a single dose equivalent to 2000 and 4000 recommended human doses in mg / m, respectively ² . There are no specific antidotes for overdose; symptomatic treatment should be given.
