Pharmacological properties
A preparation containing water-soluble fish oil products, including peroxides and aldehydes. ekteritsid belongs to antiseptic agents. active against pyogenic microflora - Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, Proteus, staphylococci, including antibiotic resistant strains. the drug is low toxic, does not cause irritation when applied topically.
Indications
Postoperative and traumatic wounds complicated by purulent infection; wounds sluggishly granulating and nonhealing for a long time; boils, carbuncles, fistulous forms of osteomyelitis; burns; trophic ulcers with suppuration.
Application
Locally undiluted as a means of monotherapy or in combination with other drugs. treatment of wounds infected with pyogenic microflora is carried out by washing them with an etericide, followed by the application of gauze napkins, abundantly moistened with the drug. washing should be carried out 2 times a day until the purulent discharge disappears, after which washing and dressings are carried out once every 3-4 days until the wounds heal completely.
In the treatment of infected burns in an open way, Etericid is used with Novocaine: 10 ml of 0.5% solution of Novocaine are added to 50 ml of the drug. The wound surface is irrigated every 6–8 hours. With the closed method, 2 times a day with an interval of 6–8 hours, dressings are applied to the burn surface, richly moistened with the preparation. The lower layer of the dressing is moistened with an etericide without removing it. These manipulations are carried out until the pus disappears completely.
In osteomyelitis, after sequestrectomy, the wound is loosely tamponed with gauze napkins, abundantly moistened with extericide. Wounds are bandaged every 3-4 days.
The treatment of carbuncles and boils after their opening and evacuation of purulent masses is carried out by applying gauze tissues abundantly moistened with the preparation to the wound. The first 2-3 days of dressing are done every day, and then 1 time in 2-3 days.
Remediation of carriers of meningococcus consists of 3 manipulations that are carried out sequentially. First, 25–30 ml of the drug is irrigated in the nasopharynx, then 4–5 drops of Etericide are instilled into each nasal passage, after which turundas, abundantly moistened with the preparation, are placed in each nostril for 20–25 minutes. These procedures are carried out 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 3 days. Remediation of carriers of meningococcus must be carried out under bacteriological control. Bacteriological examination of sanitized is carried out 2-3 days after the end of the course of treatment. In case of detection of meningococcus, the course of treatment is repeated.
