Pharmacological properties

Distreptase is a combined drug that contains two active substances: streptokinase and streptodornase. streptokinase is an activator of the plasminogen proenzyme contained in human blood, and under the influence of streptokinase it turns into plasmin, which has the property of dissolving human blood clots. streptodornase is an enzyme that has the ability to dissolve accumulations of nucleoproteins, dead cells or pus, without affecting living cells and their physiological functions. the drug facilitates the access of antibiotics or chemotherapeutic agents to the site of inflammation.

Indications

Treatment of chronic inflammatory processes of the uterus, postoperative infiltrative lesions of the pelvic organs, endometritis, hemorrhoids in acute and chronic course, pararectal abscesses and fistulas with large inflammatory infiltrate, purulent caudal cysts.

Application

Remove the suppository from the blister mold and insert deep into the rectum. dosing depends on the course and intensity of the inflammatory process.

In severe cases of the disease in adults: 1 suppository 3 times a day for the first 3 days; 1 suppository 2 times a day for the next 3 days; 1 suppository per day for the next 3 next days.

For moderate and mild disease: 1 suppository 2 times a day for the first 3 days; 1 suppository 1 time per day for the next 4 days or 1 suppository 2 times a day for 2 days.

On average, 8–18 suppositories are used per treatment course. The average course of treatment is 7-10 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. the preparation should not come into contact with a wound covered with a fresh scab or with a fresh suture (up to 10 days), as this can cause relaxation of the sutures and, as a result, bleeding from the wound. contraindicated in patients with bleeding disorders. concomitant use with anticoagulants, with other preparations containing calcium, without control of the coagulogram.

Side effects

Sometimes - allergic reactions, fever, tendency to bleeding. possible changes in the injection site, including irritation, pain, swelling.

Interactions
