Chlorotrianisene tablets - an antitumor agent, a synthetic analogue of estrogen.

Structure

Active ingredient: 1 tablet contains 12 mg of Chlorotrianisenee.

Excipient: potato starch, talc, refined sugar, calcium stearate.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, acute and chronic liver diseases, genital bleeding of unknown origin, history of thromboembolic disorders.

Mode of application

Assign to adults orally with meals.

Prostate cancer - prescribe 1 tablet (12 mg) 2-3 times a day. With metastases, prednisolone is additionally prescribed.

Breast Cancer - Prescribe 1 tablet (12 mg) 4 times a day. The daily dose is 4 tablets (48 mg).

Maximum doses for adults: single - 1 tablet (12 mg), daily - 4 tablets (48 mg).

The drug is intended for prolonged use. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Application features

In breast cancer, the drug should be prescribed only to patients in late menopause and with the uterus removed.

Use caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, and also with heart and kidney diseases.

At the beginning of treatment, nausea, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling and pain in the mammary glands, which usually go away on their own, can be observed.

When taking Chlorotrianisenee, prolonged exposure to the sun should be avoided, since the drug increases the sensitivity of the skin to the sun.

If the patient is intolerant of certain sugars, you should consult your doctor before taking this medication.

Pregnant women

The drug should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

If necessary, the use of the drug should stop breast-feeding.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, nausea and vomiting are present.

The treatment is symptomatic. There is no specific antidote.

Adverse reactions

From the digestive tract: nausea, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea.

From the reproductive system: swelling and pain in the mammary glands, feminization in men, uterine bleeding in women.

From the side of the cardiovascular system and blood system: manifestations of circulatory failure, thromboembolic complications, edema, arterial hypertension, increased coagulability and blood viscosity, increased bleeding.

Others: allergic reactions, impaired mineral metabolism.

Interaction

When used together, Chlorotrianisene reduces the effectiveness of warfarin, insulin, thyroid hormones, phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, rifampicin; increases the effectiveness of tricyclic antidepressants.

Do not use simultaneously with tamoxifen.
