Structure
Active substance: cefepime;

Contraindications

Mode of application
The usual dosage for adults is 1 g, which is administered intravenously or intramuscularly with an interval of 12 hours. The usual duration of treatment is 7 to 10 days; severe infections may require longer treatment.

To avoid possible drug interactions, cefepime should not be used simultaneously with solutions of metronidazole, vancomycin, gentamycin, tobramycin sulfate and netromycin sulfate. In case of simultaneous use with these drugs, each antibiotic should be administered separately.
