Pharmacological properties
Bronchostop is a traditional herbal medicine that is used as an expectorant for cough associated with the common cold, mainly with prolonged therapy. thyme herb essential oils and flavonoids have a bronchodilator, secretolytic, antiseptic and antibacterial effect, thus contributing to the rapid dissolution of sputum accumulated in the respiratory tract, reduce cough, facilitate breathing, and also affect the pathogen.
The composition of the marshmallow root in the syrup includes mucous substances related to polysaccharides, which have a softening, anti-inflammatory and enveloping effect and are used as a treatment for inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract. Marshmallow root polysaccharides eliminate mucosal irritation and reduce the activity of peripheral cough receptors.
A special formulation of the excipient, a natural base (gum from African acacia), which is found in syrup and lozenges, contributes to the slow release of the active substance, which causes a gradual cessation of secretion of the secretion by the mucous membrane, which reduces irritation of the mucous membrane, activates the saliva and thus the mucous membrane moisturizes, thereby further facilitating the irritation of coughing and coughing stops. Quickly and for a long time protects the mucous membrane receptors of the respiratory tract from irritation.
Thyme herb flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin) are split by intestinal microflora and are well absorbed. Excreted mainly in the urine unchanged or in the form of metabolites.
