Pharmacological properties

The preparation contains biogenic stimulants, which are located in the aqueous extract from aloe leaves, as well as in the substances contained in the juice of aronia fruits, including vitamins and minerals.

An aqueous extract from aloe leaves stimulates granulocytopoiesis, enhances the ability of absorption, degradation and recognition of antigens. Enhances, above all, the humoral immune response; stimulates an increase in the number of B lymphocytes in peripheral blood; at the same time weaker effect on the protective reaction of the cell type. In addition, slightly increases the resistance of contact infection. The immunostimulating effect of the drug is manifested in supporting the balance of the immune system, which is especially important for children who do not yet have a fully formed protective mechanism. Clinical studies conducted in children have shown that the drug stimulates the development, as well as an increase in body weight, of the study participants.

Indications

As an aid in:

• upper respiratory tract infections, for example in the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections;
• lack of appetite.

As a prophylactic for repeated bacterial and viral infections, during the period of convalescence of the body after diseases and antibiotic therapy.

Application

The drug is prescribed for children aged 3-6 years: 2 times a day, 5 ml dissolved in 20 ml (2 dessert spoons) of chilled boiled water; ≥6 years: 3 times a day, 5 ml before meals for 14 days.

In the absence of appetite for children ≥3 years of age - 5 ml of the drug 1 time 15 minutes before meals (for children of 6 years old - dilute in 20 ml of water).

The duration of treatment is determined individually by the doctor.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, acute inflammatory diseases of the digestive tract, children under 3 years old. as with other sugar-containing preparations, bioaron c may undesirably affect patients with diabetes mellitus and those with glucose and galactose poor absorption syndrome, fructose intolerance or those with sucrose and isomaltose deficiency.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible, in rare cases - dyspeptic disorders (heartburn, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting).

Security measures at application. A single dose of the drug (5 ml) contains 3.3 g of sucrose (0.33 XE), which must be considered for patients with diabetes mellitus.

The drug may distort the results of a number of laboratory tests (blood glucose, bilirubin, transaminase activity, LDH).

Do not change the dose without the instructions of a doctor or expand the indications for use.

Interactions

The composition of the drug includes ascorbic acid (vitamin C), therefore:

• its combined use with sulfanilamide preparations can lead to the formation of a precipitate of sulfanilamide crystals in acid urine;
• the drug can enhance iron absorption in the digestive tract;
• may enhance the effect of laxative drugs;
• may increase the excretion rate of amphetamine and tricyclic antidepressants.

Overdose

Cases of overdose are not described. potentially with an overdose of the drug, the formation of urate and / or oxalate calculi in the kidneys, a sensation of pain in the kidney area. prolonged use of the drug in high doses can lead to an increase in blood glucose and very rarely to disorders of the central nervous system.
