Indications

As part of the complex therapy of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by cough, diseases of the oral mucosa and pharynx: stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis.

Application

Adults and children over the age of 4 years, 1 tablet 3-4 times a day, slowly dissolving in the mouth.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. children under 4 years old.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible, including a skin rash, itching, hives, angioedema, and sometimes anaphylactic shock in the presence of sensitization.

Since the drug contains ascorbic acid, although in small quantities, it is used with caution in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, a tendency to thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, diabetes mellitus, and severe kidney diseases.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are not enough studies on the use of this drug during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, the drug is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy and lactation.

Interactions

Acceptance of sage preparations may affect the effectiveness of drugs acting through gamma receptors (barbiturates, benzodiazepines), simultaneous use with such drugs is not recommended.

The absorption of ascorbic acid is reduced with the simultaneous use of oral contraceptives, the use of fruit or vegetable juices, alkaline drinking.

Oral ascorbic acid increases the absorption of penicillin, tetracycline, iron, and increases the risk of crystalluria during treatment with salicylates.

Overdose

There are no reports of an overdose of the drug. however, with excessive intake of sage preparations, gastrointestinal disturbances are not excluded.
