Pharmacological properties

Ambazon is a local antiseptic with high activity against pathogenic microorganisms, which most often cause infections of the oral cavity and upper respiratory tract: streptococci, pneumococci, and also has moderate antistaphylococcal activity. does not affect the intestinal microflora, and therefore does not cause digestive tract dysbiosis.

In addition, the use of pressed lollipops causes an increase in salivation and the release of the bodys natural bactericidal substances (such as lysozyme) and at the same time moisturizes the mucous membrane and reduces irritation.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of infections of the oral mucosa and nasopharynx: gingivitis, stomatitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis. prevention of infectious complications after tonsillectomy and tooth extraction.

Application

The recommended dose for adults and children over the age of 7 years is 3-5 candies (30-50 mg of ambazon) per day for at least 3-4 days. Do not swallow lollipops - they should be slowly dissolved with saliva in the oral cavity. the drug is used 15-30 minutes after eating, after that for 2-3 hours you should not eat or drink.

The recommended dose for children aged 3–7 years is 1 lollipop 3 times a day (30 mg ambazon) for 3-4 days.

Increasing the recommended dose does not increase the severity of the therapeutic effect.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions are possible, including Quinckes edema, urticaria, itching, facial flushing, rash.

special instructions

Since pharyngosept lollipops contain sucrose and lactose, patients with rare hereditary forms of fructose or galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or sucrose-isomaltase deficiency, or lactase deficiency lappa should be avoided. patients with diabetes must take into account the fact that candies contain sucrose.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. There are no controlled clinical trials regarding the use of ambazon during pregnancy and lactation. However, no data have been reported on adverse reactions or harm to the fetus when using ambazon during pregnancy. It is not known whether ambazon passes into breast milk.

Faringosept lollipops can be prescribed during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if, according to the doctor, the therapeutic effect for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Children. Do not use in children under 3 years of age.

Overdose
