Pharmacological properties

Alverin is a myotropic antispasmodic, the effect of which is not accompanied by an atropine-like effect. reduces the increased tone of the smooth muscles of the intestine. Alverin acts on the gastrointestinal tract at the cellular level, blocking calcium channels in the smooth muscle cells of the intestine, and also blocks the neuroreceptors of receptor-dependent channels and thus eliminates muscle spasm.

Simethicone is a hydrophobic polymer compound with a low surface tension, reduces gas formation in the intestine and covers the gastrointestinal wall with a protective film.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of functional bowel disorders, especially those that are manifested by flatulence.

Application

Inside, for adults - 1 capsule 2-3 times a day before meals. the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to alverin or other components of the drug. intestinal obstruction, including paralytic; obstructive diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Side effects

From the nervous system: headache, dizziness.

From the side of the immune system: anaphylactoid reactions, including urticaria, laryngeal edema, shortness of breath, sneezing, skin rash, itching, anaphylactic shock.

From the liver and biliary tract: jaundice due to hepatitis, impaired liver function, which are restored after treatment is discontinued.
