Aluminum Oxide, Magnesium Hydroxide

MAALOX is a combined antacid preparation for the treatment of heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults and children over 15 years of age.

The drug is a well-balanced combination of hydrated aluminum oxide and magnesium hydroxide, protects the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Magnesium and aluminum hydroxides are antacids that neutralize the excess of hydrochloric acid, which is part of the gastric juice, which reduces the burning sensation in the stomach.

Indications for use

Treatment of heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults and children over 15 years of age.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (allergy) to the components of the drug; severe renal failure due to the presence of magnesium in the composition of the drug; the presence of disaccharidase deficiency. Alzheimers disease, common constipation, chronic diarrhea, severe abdominal pain of unspecified genesis, hypophosphatemia.

Children

There is no experience in the use of the drug in children under the age of 15 years.

Use during pregnancy or lactation

Pregnancy. Do not take Maalox® Mine for a long time and in large doses.

The period of breastfeeding. During the treatment period, Maalox® Mine can continue breastfeeding.

Structure

Active substances: aluminum oxide, magnesium hydroxide; 4.3 ml (6 g) of suspension (1 sachet) contains: aluminum oxide - 230 mg, which corresponds to hydrated aluminum oxide - 460 mg; magnesium hydroxide - 400 mg.

Excipients: sucrose, sorbitol, non-crystallizing solution, xanthan gum, guar gum, natural aromatic lemon-lime additive, sodium chloride.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C out of the reach of children.
