Acetone, Boric acid, Resorcinol, Phenol, Fuchsin basic

The skin solution “Fucorcin” is used in the treatment of skin diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to the drug: various types of dermatomycetes (trichophytons, microsporums, epidermophytons), microbial eczema, oily and mixed forms of seborrhea.

Structure

1 ml of solution contains (active substances):

• fuchsin basic - 4 mg;
• boric acid - 8 mg;
• phenol - 39 mg;
• acetone - 0.049 ml;
• resorcinol - 78 mg;
• ethanol 96% - 0.095 ml.

Excipient - purified water.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity of the skin to the components of the drug;
• age up to 12 years;
• pregnancy, lactation;
• chronic allergic dermatoses.

Mode of application

Lubricate affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes with a solution 1-3 times a day until clinical recovery. The course of treatment is determined by the doctor.

Overdose

With prolonged use of the drug and its use on large areas of the skin, the occurrence of phenomena characteristic of phenol poisoning (dizziness, weakness, respiratory distress, collapse) may occur. In the event of such phenomena, it is necessary for the patient to provide access to fresh air, rinse the drug with water from the skin and conduct symptomatic treatment.

In case of an overdose, side effects and allergic reactions may intensify.

Therapy is symptomatic.

Side effects

From the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic shock, urticaria, angioedema; local allergic reactions (including rash, hyperemia, edema, itching at the site of application).

Some patients, especially with prolonged use, may experience the phenomena listed below.

From the nervous system: dizziness, weakness, cramps, confusion, headache.

From the respiratory system: respiratory distress.

From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

From the kidneys and the genitourinary system: oliguria.

On the part of the skin and subcutaneous tissue: desquamation of the epithelium.

When such symptoms appear, it is necessary to wash off the remnants of the drug from the surface of the skin with water; cancel the drug and prescribe symptomatic therapy.
